I love brick lane as much as the next person but i haven't been loyal and visited this time I'm home, so here's some of the favourite graffiti from past visits and I will promise to go in a couple of weeks when I'm back in London and take lots of photos!!

I want my hair to grow.....

.....so i can wear these!! I got them for Christmas from my mum from Vivienne Westwood. I love them, i do have an unhealthy obsession with things with skulls on, but pretty skulls. My hair is too short at the minute and these lovely earrings just look too much, pray for hair growth!!

Flourishing Florals and Skulls

Rummaging in my box of paper treats I keep under my bed out of sight, trying to find some images for a current project,I came across these forgotten photos. They are of a project from my foundation year at Chelsea art college. The brief was Worlds apart, and I decided to mix bundles of lovely flourishing florals with the idea of death and skulls, lovely I know! These photos are of the work as a final pieces but layered up on top of each other and taken quite close up.The final piece was almost like a concept magazine lay out, made in trace using masking tape, photocopy, hand drawing and synthetic hair. The trace works really well as you turn the pages because they layer up to form different lay outs every time you turn a page, concealing and revealing different areas.
At the moment it is tucked away under my bed at home, I'm thinking I might take it apart and turn it into a canvas over Easter as I forgot how much I loved it.

As if I could love Luella any more than i already do...... last S/S she made me want to be Thora Birch from Ghost World and sell my family for a batman logo cardi now I want to be all prim and proper in florals that are a bit more acid trip than the cutest of the cute. Sadly i will have to settle for a Topshop knock off as I can't afford her gorgeous dresses. Never mind there's always hope for next season (if i started saving years ago!) as A/W 09 looks just as exciting with clashing textures rather than the clashing colours of this season, creating a punky geek chic look with a sweet edge.

Love this new magazine I've discovered whilst researching for a recent menswear project. I think the composition and styling is really different with large text and varying letter angles to lay out their "ten commandments". Their photo shoots are beautiful, and shot in atmospheric locations like this one above which is all styled using Lanvin clothing.

I know florals are being done to death but i still love them, so cute and dainty and the perfect way to start slowly adding some summer bits and bobs to transcend your wardrobe perfectly into summer.

Liberty's have always been King/Queen of the floral print and I love how fresh this prints look on these new products. Super cool Nike blazers have an update with bright ticks and cute ditsy florals and a new range of gorgeous Top shop lingerie have lovely frills on the knickers just to add to the sweetness! and pretty good value at around £28 for a set.....now its just deciding on which set to buy!

Books are my major vice but with magazines starting to look just as pretty and inviting with beautiful spines, hard back covers and textured covers, i want them all!!

Love this badge from the gift shop at Les Arts Décoratifs - Mode et du Textile in Paris. But at 60 euro I think I'll make my own.
